In an effort to ensure the safety of volunteers, we are temporarily suspending all volunteer opportunities until further notice.
Other Ways to Help During This Crisis:
Volunteer Opportunities to Help Those in Need
There are two options: 1) Physically drop off prepared food to our kitchen staff who will serve the food 2) Sponsor a meal by donating $500 for dinner or $300 for breakfast.
Organizing Donations (suspended until further notice)
Help us keep our donations closet organized. This opportunity is suited for 3-15 volunteers and is available weekdays: 9:00 am – 11:30 am or 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm.
Run the EARN Store (suspended until further notice)
Residents can earn points doing various tasks during their stay. These points can be exchanged for essential items from the store. This is suited for 2-3 volunteers and can be done weekdays and weekends.
Lead an Activity (suspended until further notice)
Host an activity on the weekends for families such as arts and crafts, sports or educational lessons.
Assist with Child Care (suspended until further notice)
Assist parents by providing child care while they attend enrichment classes on weekdays.
Assist with Maintenance Projects (suspended until further notice)
Assist with odd jobs, from painting, installing shelving or laying mulch. Number of volunteers needed and time is based on need.
Host and Plan a Special Event (suspended until further notice)
Host or lead a special event for our formally homeless women residents. Event types include: ice cream socials, appreciation days and holidays.
Organize a Donation Drive
Hosting a donation drive is a fun, simple way to gather many donations all at once! Some ideas include: collecting coats at your holiday party, diapers at your next baby shower or putting together welcome kits at your next house warming party.
