The Columbus Education Justice Coalition is a group of community partners, parents, students, educators and labor union members who believe that a fair and just, well-rounded, holistic public education for ALL students, staff and families in Columbus City Schools is a civil and human right.
We believe in and are dedicated to the work of ensuring an equitable and quality public education for ALL.
The ‘Our Cities. Our Schools.’ listening campaign was born from the recognition that the community members most impacted by the school district’s policies and decisions often do not have a voice at the table.
No matter where you live, work, or study in the district, everyone should have the opportunity to be heard and their hopes and challenges addressed. It’s about putting the power back into the people’s hands.
Join us, with community member, poet, and educator, Izetta Thomas and share your dreams, hopes and solutions for Columbus and our Columbus City Schools!
