Forbes.com  |  Article  |  Franklin County, Ohio’s most populous, declared racism to be a public health crisis last month. The Declaration emerged from years of work understanding the root causes of the county’s poverty levels, and disproportionate challenges facing the county’s citizens who identify as black, indigenous, and people of color. Milwaukee County made a similar statement last spring, but no other counties have followed suit, despite the examples and invitations from Milwaukee and Franklin Counties.
