ON A MISSION TO SUPPORT FAMILIES AND CHILDREN IN THESE CHALLENGING TIMES
United Schools Network (USN) is partnering with YWCA Columbus to provide a fun, engaging program before and after summer school to help students have a more successful summer school experience. With more than 30 years of experience providing affordable, dependable, high-quality after school programs, YWCA Kids Place (YKP) is excited to serve this community, support working families, and help students learn and grow.
We know that things are uncertain right now. You can trust that YWCA Columbus is committed to our partnership with the United Schools Network and families in the UPrep State and UPrep East community. We will continue to align our procedures with school district policy, follow health department recommendations, and adopt local, state, and national best practices to ensure a safe, healthy environment to support student success.
We use a comprehensive curriculum that includes Choice-Based learning, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math), social-emotional development, and physical fitness. Additionally, in lock-step with the mission of YWCA, social action and advocacy are promoted by participating in community service projects that benefit non-profit programs in the community.
Registration will open August 16 at 10AM. Registration is on a first come, first served basis.
We are excited to partner with United Schools Network to provide this before- and after-school program to families free of charge.
