YWCA’s new Center for Racial Equity is training Central Ohio businesses on anti-racism

Columbus Business First |  Article | YWCA Columbus’ mission has long been to eliminate racism, but now that goal is being further put into action with the launch of its new Center for Racial Equity.

The center’s focus includes conducting racial equity trainings for Columbus-area businesses and nonprofits and expanding the organization’s racial equity policy agenda at the local and state level.

Since launching its business trainings earlier this year, the center’s work has grown rapidly, [Christie] Angel said. The YWCA has conducted racial equity training for more than 60 Central Ohio businesses, nonprofit and government entities, reaching more than 500 workers, since starting the trainings since the second quarter of this year, Angel said.
