Until Justice Just Is (UJJI): Racial Justice Challenge

Until Justice Just Is (UJJI) is YWCA’s annual campaign to deepen awareness, spark conversation, and inspire collective action around the most pressing issues facing our communities.

This year’s theme — Democracy in Progress: Voting Rights at 250 — will focus exclusively on voting rights and challenge us to:

  • Reflect honestly on the progress made in expanding access to the ballot

  • Recognize the inequities and systemic barriers that still persist

  • Take meaningful steps to protect the fundamental right to vote

If you've joined Challenges in the past, please note that this year's will look a little different! From April 6 through May 4, the Racial Justice Challenge will offer a streamlined experience: only one carefully curated piece of content each day — an article, video, podcast, or action step — designed to deepen participants’ understanding of voting rights and inspire meaningful engagement.

Are you ready to take the challenge?

When you sign up for the 2026 Challenge, you’ll receive:

  • Daily emails with articles, podcasts, videos, and reflection prompts

  • Action steps to defend voting rights

  • Resources that help you understand the past, present, and future of American democracy

What other ways can I engage with the challenge/material?

  • Follow us on Instagram and LinkedIn for reflection prompts and more learning bites.

  • Share the Challenge with others!
