Women’s History Month

For decades women in Columbus have led the fight against family homelessness. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, the Interfaith Hospitality Network provided critical shelter and support, but by the early 2000s, the need had outgrown temporary solutions. Women heeded the call—building the YWCA Family Center, which opened in October 2005.

Twenty years later, the Family Center remains a lifeline for women and children in crisis, providing essential resources, stability, and hope. Built on a legacy of women leading the way, this work continues today—and you can be part of it.

Join the women who paved the way—fight for safety, stability, and support families in our community.
