House Bill 472 is a Win For Ohio

YWCA Columbus applauds the Ohio House of Representatives for its passage of House Bill 472, a vital step forward in supporting children, families, and communities across our state.

HB 472 removes critical financial barriers by waiving fees for IDs and birth certificates for individuals experiencing homelessness. These foundational documents unlock access to employment, stable housing, resources, and essential services, directly benefiting the residents and families we serve. We extend our sincere thanks to Representative Christine Cockley for her dedicated leadership in championing this important legislation.
